We dog sat this weekend. We love Lucy. She is so good and lovable. Sunday Lucy and I played in the backyard. She loves chasing snowballs. What she doesn’t love- nail guns and air compressors. She lived under our bed for most of the day on Saturday and Sunday.
This kitchen is nearly 210 days in the making and we are so close (I’ve heard that a lot too). I think it’s time for Marshall and I to start taking end date bets and make some money off this thing. Laying the hardwood floor took a lot longer than we thought it would. It was a little unrealistic to think we could get it done in one day and have dinner plans.
It’s down and it looks great. The hardest part was getting started, but once we did, we were on a roll.
So much so, that I left Marshall to prime and paint the window trim. So, what do we have left to do in the kitchen?
- Molding, molding and more molding: Crown, base and accent in the kitchen, back entryway, guest bathroom and dining room.
- Seal the backsplash
- Figure out our electrical outlet covers
- Shelving (see post here)
- Laundry closet doors
- Replace back entryway door (OK, I just added this one as part of this project, but it has got to get done!)
Is it me, or does this list still look long? That’s it for now…consider yourself updated!
