Our Fine Weekend

I love weekends of snow- especially when we aren’t busy. Our weekend was full of things we wanted to do and that hasn’t happened in mmmm…nearly 5 months. I don’t know if it was the snow that slowed us down or what it was. On Saturday night we went to Good Luck to celebrate my little sis’s birthday. Her husband, my awesome brother-in-law, arranged for the chef’s table and we bought-in to the farm-to-table dinner. It was a fabulous four-course meal made with fresh, local ingredients finished off with a round of champagne.

We finished painting the ceiling, yeah, which is the gateway to getting a lot of other things done. We painted the front of the cabinet doors and the kitchen walls finally have color! Thankfully, I was able to get two coats on, so the kitchen walls are done. I think this means we can get our lighting up.

Lastly, my birthday and Christmas present is finally in hand and I love it. We decided to get the Nikon D90 and I had a lot of fun playing with it this weekend. Now let’s cross our fingers and hope that I am daring enough to take it outside of our house!

  1. The kitchen is looking great! Good job. I like your choices in paint colors. What kind of flooring are you going to do?

Thanks! I can’t wait to get the flooring down and that is our next big step. We are putting down engineered hardwood flooring: Home Legends, Elm-Walnut.
