Fine FridaysPosted: October 1, 2010
That’s right, it’s Friday again. If you couldn’t tell by now I love Fridays.
Like most newlyweds, before we got married we took our time with registering carefully for things we really needed and some we wanted. Something that was important to me was stainless steel pots and pans. We read all of the research on the stainless steel vs. non-stick and in the end it came down to the fact that we didn’t want to cook our food on chemicals. There are many benefits to non-stick, but the number one is how easy they are to clean. Enter Bar Keepers Friend (Thanks to my sister, Lisa, who told me about this).
For the few short month we cooked with our pots and pans before destroying our kitchen, we noticed that almost every time they clean up no problem. For the really gritty ones I simply put a dab of Bar Keepers Friend and some hot water in the pan when I start the dishes and clean up- 5-10 minutes later it works like a charm. It is also a great product for putting the shine back in your stainless steel and for anyone with a stainless steel sink it is a great cleaner for that as well.
Have a great weekend everyone, I hope it’s nice so you can enjoy the fall!
